Everything I Learned, I Learned in Kindergarten...and Then Re-learned as a Mom!

Summer Vacation:

wading pool in the front yard
lazy days in the warm sun
reading, just for fun
riding bikes with friends
picnics in the park
the buzzing of bees
the song of the meadowlark
sun tanning in the back yard
smelling the fresh cut grass
hot dog roasts along the creek
warm nights on the porch
spitting watermelon seeds
riding horses through the aspens
soft night breezes blowing the curtains
garden tomatoes and corn on the cob
crickets singing me to sleep

Now as a Mom... I still can't wait for summer vacation!!!

What did you love about summer vacation? What does your kids love?

  1. Sounds like a perfect summer vacation to me too! Following from the VB!

  2. Fun post. We didn't take tons of summer vacations besides our annual trip to Lake Michigan to go salmon fishing. However, we traveled more during the winter. I loved getting in the car at 4:00 am in snowy MN and getting out 5 hours later for breakfast where the weather was sooo much warmer!

I wanted to let you know that I’ve awarded you with the Versatile Blogger Award and the Blog on Fire Award! Check it out here:

  3. I really like it here!!! nice to stop by! :)

  4. Love this post!! So true!! Your family is beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am returning the love! :)

  5. There is nothing like children to remind us to enjoy the little things and to see life through their eyes.

Thanks for sharing, and enjoy those holidays! xx

  6. I love your blog! too cute...I am now following you...please stop by and say

  7. So precious! Your little girl is so amazingly adorable! I think my baby girl would love to do the same, but she's only 8. I need to wait a couple of years. Great family you've got there. Looks a little like mine! I've got an AMAZING husband, four beautiful kids, and some great family and friends.
